Many-flowered umbelliform cymes with bracts, yellowish-green to crimson or crimson-brown 50mm flowers maroon inside, edged green & green outside, calyx with lobes 5mm long, lobes purple, fleshy purple crown. Pubescent green fruit to 300mm long,
