Large woody liana with lenticellate branches, trunk climber. Coriaceous leaves to 135mm x 45mm. Erect inflorescence with 8-13 fertile & 2-3 sterile flowers, 2 bracteoles 2.5mm wide subtend the calyx, sepals to 5mm wide x 2.3mm, greenish to greenish-brown corolla to 10mm x 6mm. Globose roughish ribbed green to maroon fruit 10mm diameter x 9mm high.
