Twining glabrous or minutely puberulent herbaceous vine with large glabrous or scaberulous leaves to 100mm x 50mm. Axillary cymes or racemes or solitary 14mm scarlet flowers or white spotted red with yellow hairs in throat of corolla, 8-lobed calyx lobes 14mm long, barbate pink or dull red corolla, glabrous outside, 28mm long with scarlet lobes recurved to 10mm long, red corolla. Capsule 12mm x 8mm
