Unarmed woody climbing shrub to 3m or small tree. Coriaceous mucronate glabrous leaves to 75mm x 30mm. Terminal racemes or corymbs of flowers with bracts, sepals to 12mm x 6mm, 4 greenish-white clawed petals to 10mm x 4mm. Fruit a fleshy pale brown glabrous berry to 35mmx 14mm
