Spiny tendril liana or tree with paired spines, glabrescent stems. Glabrescent 5-7 foliolate leaves, coriaceous leaflets to 115mm x 65mm.Axillary inflorescence with tomentulose bracts 1.5mm long & tomentulose bracteoles 1,5mm x 1.5mm. Flowers to 10mm long with tomentulose calyx to 4.5mm x 3.5mm, purple petals, pubescent outside. Winged yellow-green fruit to 120mm x 15mm with wing 90mm x 20mm.
