Liana or scandent shrub to 30m+ with hooks and glabrescent stems. Leaves 13-27 foliolate, glabrescent. leaflets to 35mm x 15mm. Terminal glabrescent panicles with spinescent bracts to 3mm x 1.5mm & puberulent bracteoles 1mm x 1.5mm. Violet flowers to 9mm long with puberulent calyx to 4mm x 3mm, lavender-pink or whitish petals. Winged glabrescent fruit to 65mm long with wing 30mm x 10mm.
