High-climbing liana or tree with reddish-villous young branchlets & a few recurved spines. Imparipinnate leaves with 11-15 leaflets, leaflets to 60mm x 20mm, glabrous above & pilose beneath. Terminal & axillary reddish villous panicles with bracts & bractlets, panicles to 1m long, cream or white flowers, tomentose calyx 2mm long, standard 6mm long, sericeous outside.
