Fruiting Times
Spiny shrubby climber, high-climbing liane or tree to 10m with recurved spines, glabrescent stems, recurved spines to 15mm x 5mm. Inparipinnate leaves with 11-15 leaflets, coriaceous leaflets to 75mm x 30mm with an awn to 5mm long, glabrous above & puberulent beneath. Silky pubescent axillary or terminal panicles with spiny bracts to 5mm long & bracteoles to 2mm x 2.5mm, mauve or blue-violet flowers to 14mm long, silky calyx to 7mm x 4mm with lobes 1mm long, white, ye.llowish, pale blue, violet or purple petals, standard to 7mm long, sericeous outside. Green curved fruit to 70mm x 30mm, almost into a circle 25mm diameter, glabrescent with age.
