Liana to 9m, white-floccose except upper leaf surfaces. Mucronate leaves to 120mm x 30mm. Soliary terminal flower heads 20mm x 30mm with scales in 6 series, bright orange flowers, ray corolla purple with tube to 5mm long, 3-lobed lower lip 10mm long, disc corolla tube 10mm long with 2-lipped limb nearly as long.
