Liana or procumbent shrub with striate lanuginose branches. Leaves to 150mm x 55mm. Terminal heads of orange flowers, staminate flowers with 5-6 series of phyllaries, outer ones to 25mm x 3mm, inner phyllaries to 20mm x 5mm, 87-90 disc florets with corolla to 12mm long & lobes to 3.5mm long, pistillate flowers with 6-8 series of phyllaries, outer ones to 16mm x 2.8mm, inner ones to 28mm x 3mm, 19-20 ray florets, corolla to 20mm long with tube to 9mm long. Achenes to 6mm long, pappus to 15mm long.
