Sometimes scandent shrub or woody twiner to 5m+ with pilose stems. Leaves with scattered hairs above, tomentose beneath to 140mm x 78mm. Axillary fascicles or umbels of 5-10 flowers, pale violet or lilac flowers 20mm diameter with 5 greenish ribs outside, tomentose outside, 10-toothed tomentose calyx to 4mm long, teeth to 1mm long, violet-blue corolla to 13mm long.
