Climbing liane or scandent or procumbent shrub to 3m, hairy young branches. Leaves glabrous or downy above & slightly toothed to 80mm x 40mm, tomentose beneath. Extra-axillary & terminal 4-6 flowered umbels of 25mm diameter white or pale blue flowers with white star in centre, toothed calyx to 5mm long with 10 teeth to 2mm long, violet or white corolla downy outside to 18mm long, fruit a red or orange berry to 15mm diameter, branches & undersides of leaves hoary-tomentose. Woody climber with glabrous branches. Glabrous leaves or puberulent when young to 50mm x 30mm. Solitary nocturnal blue flowers, glabrate calyx with 10 teeth, puberulent corolla to 12mm high. Glabrous red berry 10mm diameter.
