Woody herb, scrambling or scandent to 6m with strong aromatic odour. Crenate-serrate leaves to 80mm x 35mm, scabrous above & glabrous or strigose on veins beneath. Axillary many-flowered inflorescence with bractlets, calyx to 1.5mm long, green or greenish-white corolla. Black fruit.
