Glabrescent woody liana sometimes with tendriliform young shoots, yellowish to golden-brown oubescent leaves to 170mm x 80mm. Cymes of green to white flowers, male inflorescence to 25mm long with 1 outer sepal 0.75mm, 3 middle sepals 1.25mm x 1mm, 3 inner sepals 3.25mm x 2.5mm, 6 glabrous petals to 1mm, female petals to 1.25mm, glabrescent drupe 25mm x 20mm. Climbing shrub, glabrous leaves, terminal male flowers, axillary female flowers, edible berry. Robust liana with silky red pubescence when young, coriaceous leaves glossy above, villous beneath, solitary villous flowers & pedicels, 6 petals
