Arching or clambering shrub to 3m. Leaves to 120mm x 26mm, glabrate above & pubescent or glabrous beneath. Terminal corymbose panicles, flower heads to 8mm high with 3-4 series of bracts, purple corolla 7mm long with lobes 3mm long. 4-sided achenes 4mm x 0.7mm with dirty white pappus bristles 6mm long.
