Scandent vine or liana with erect or scandent shoots to 5m. Leaves to 120mm x 50mm, hairy beneath. Terminal thyrses to 60mm long with bracts 1mm x 0.3mm & bracteoles 0.5mm x 0.3mm, flowers to 3mm x 1.5mm, calyx to 0.3mm x 0.5mm with lobes to 0.9mm x 1.5mm, white petals 2mm x 1mm. Dark purple berry 5mm x 4mm.
