Herbaceous woody liana with glabrate leaves to 100mm x 50mm, axillary cymes of 25mm red-purple or greenish-purple flowers, 5-parted calyx lobes hirtellus outside to 4.5mm long, corolla ferrugineous pubescent outside with twisted tube 23mm x 3mm & lobes to 8mm long. Ferrugineous hirtellus follicles to 300mm long.
