Glabrous or pubescent tendril climber or erect plant to 500mm, tetragonal stems. Pinnate leaves, 2-5 mucronate glabrous leaflets to 40mm x 5mm. 3-5 flowered racemes, corolla purple or rarely yellowish to 30mm long, pubescent toothed calyx, purple flowers streaked darker. Pod to 50mm long.
