Scrambling glabrous shrub or tendril liane, branches with whitish lenticels, branchlets densely brown-pubescent. Coriaceous glabrous leaves 100mm x 50mm. Axillary6-12 flowered cymes to 380mm long with small bracts & about 250 flowers, flowers white or pinkish to 18mm long, glabrous calyx 2mm long, glabrous corolla tube 4mm long, lobes 6mm long. Warty fruit yellow to red to 580mm diameter.
