Liana or tall woody tendril climber with reddish hairy branches with yellowish lenticels, leaves 110mm x 75mm hairy both surfaces, cymes reddish hair, calyx 3mm long with 5 densely fulvo-hirsute sepals,corolla yellowish 8mm long p[ubescent outside with tube 4mm long, red fruit to 120mm diameter hairy when young
Bark produces red dye, fruits & seeds edible
