Tall tendril liana with bark dotted with white lenticels, hirsute branches. Papery leaves to 105mm x 50mm glabrescent above hirsute on nerves beneath. Small yellowish or greenish-yellow flowers in many-flowered axillary hairy cymes with tomentose bracts, pubescent calyx 2mm long, corolla tube pubescent without 4mm long with lobes 4mm x 1mm. Globose fruit 80mm diameter.

Stems contain large amounts of water, fruit pulp edible, yields rubber
