Twining or creeping slightly woody glabrous or pubescent perennial herb with purplish subglabrous stems. Trifoliolate pubescent or glabrous mucronate leaves ending in a bristle, slightly villous above, glabrous beneath, central leaflet to 150mm long. Erect axillary 250mm long lax pseudo-racemes to 230mm long, of fragrant 25mm long white, cream, blue, crimson, pink or purple or cream tinged mauve flower, standard, keel & wings 20mm long, calyx to 7mm long slightly villous on outside with deciduous bracteoles at base. 180mm falcate maroon glabrescent pods hooked at apex with persistent style
