High-climbing unarmed scandent epiphytic shrub with angled pubescent stems. Leaves to 300mm x 210mmglabrous above pubescent beneath. Large pendant round panicles or racemes to 150mm long, purple coriaceous calyx to 80mm x 15mm, white flowers with purple tipped lobes, corolla to 65mm, lobes to 10mm long. Fruit a pale yellow berry 95mm x 20mm with beak to 50mm long
