Scandent or erect shrub or herbaceous twiner with hairy stems glabrous when mature, leaves to 75mm long & pubescent both surfaces, purple fruit, 1-3 flowered terminal & axillary cymes of sweetly scented white flowers, calyx 6mm long with 4mm long teeth, 6 glabrous sepals, white corolla tube to 20mm long with 6-10 lobes to 20mm long x 2.5mm
