Annual herbaceous slightly woody hairy twining climbing, erect or creeping vine with pilose to glabrate stems. Dentate glabrescent leaves with villous edges, leaves to 120mm x 40mm hairy above with rusty hairs on veins beneath. Petioles, peduncles & calyx hairy, hairy many-flowered axillary cymes with foliaceous bracts to 40mm long, 15mm villous white flowers with green bracts to 40mm long turning lilac or blue, flowers hairy, triangular rusty-hirsute sepals to 12mm long, calyx segments 5mm long with grey hairs, corolla lavender blue with paler centre to 30mm long, flowers involucrated with leaves. Flattened 8-valved light brown glabrous capsule to 5mm diameter, slightly twining pilose stems, inflorescence to 15 blue flower.,
