Shrub, climbing shrub or liana with rusty tomentose indumentum. Coriaceous leaves 100mm x 45mm hairy on mid rub above & beneath. Rusty-tomentose panicles with bracts, red-brown tubular flowers, calyx 2mm long with pubescent sepals, terminal panicles to 270mm long, flowers to 12mm long with lobes to 6mm, red-brown to pink inside with yellow longitudinal stripes. Spindle-shaped fruit paired velvety yellowish-brown follicles, cylindrical to 200mm x 10mm with rusty brown pubescence.
