Climber or shrub with branches becoming glabrescent. Coriaceous leaves to 100mm x 50mm, glabrous above & hirsute on nerves beneath. Tomentose panicles with minute bracts, of 3-6 flowers, puberulous calyx to 3mm long, red corolla with yellow borders, tube to 8mm long & lobes to 6mm long, with large lateral appendix.
