Twining tomentose liana to 7m with white tomentose stems. Mucronate leaves to 80mm x 90mm, glabrous or glabrescent above & pubescent beneath. Axillary or terminal cymes with bracts & bracteoles to 5mm, pink or red flowers to 75mm long, mucronate silky sepals to 14mm x 6mm, pink hairy corolla to 70mm long with lobed limb to 50mm diameter. Glabrous capsule to 18mm x 10mm.
