Tuberous liana to 3m with woody glabrous stems dotted with black glands. Usually glabrous leaves to 90mm x 60mm. Axillary cymes, racemes or panicles to 100mm long with scale-like bracteoles, slightly fragrant white flowers with purple base inside, sepals to 7mm x 5mm, creamy white corolla with greenish bands and sometime a dull violet centre, to 35mm long, limb 25mm diameter. Glabrous capsule to 12mm x 8mm.
