Twining or trailing slender pubescent vine with tuberous fleshy roots, stem with white pili. 3-5-palmate mucronate leaves to 80mm x 60mm clothed with silky hairs. Solitary or paired axillary flowers with pubescent bracteoles to 8mm long, blue, purple to pink flowers to 70mm long with white throat, grey-pubescent or pilose sepals to 22mm x 10mm bearded on back, glabrous corolla to 50mm long with purplish limb to 20mm diameter. Fruit a glabrous capsule 8mm long enclosed by persistent sepals.
