Fruiting Times
Herbaceous hairy annual twiner or trailer with glabrescent or villous stem to 1.8m, villous petioles & peduncles. Glabrous or sometimes downy lobed leaves 80mm x 70mm. Few to several axillary flowers enveloped in large hairy connate bracts 50mm across with small inner bracts 17mm x 12mm, 50mm long pink, red or purple tubular flowers, calyx 12mm long, exterior sepals 16mm x 7mm villous outside, interior sepals 10mm x 2mm, minutely pilose corolla 50mm x 50mm with tube to 25mm long with limb 25mm diameter. 6mm x 9mm diameter glabrous seed capsule with persistent bracts & sepals.
