Glabrous herbaceous tuberous, perennial succulent creeping twiner or prostrate radicant vine sometimes climbing, glabrous angulate stems to 30m with adventitious roots. Thick glabrous mucronate leaves more or less 2-lobed to 200mm across. Axillary 1-7 flowered dichasias or cymes with minute bracts to 2m long, of pale mauve or pink 70mm flowers with darker throat rarely white to 50mm long, glabrous coriaceous mucronate exterior sepals 10 x 7mm, interior sepals 11mm x 8mm, red-purple corolla 60mm x 30mm with tube to 25mm long, purple petioles. Glabrous 4-valved 20mm diameter brown seed capsules with persistent sepals.
