Woody tendril liana, densely rust-coloured hairy stems, branched tendrils on nodes. Leaves villous on nerves above, densely tomentose beneath. Axillary or lateral corymbs to 100mm of staminate rust coloured flowers with petals to 4mm, male inflorescence with 5 hirsute sepals to 1mm long, petals to 3mm, 38mm x 20mm tomentose yellow-green drupe maturing red, longitudinally 3-ribbed per side.
