Perennial evergreen woody tendril liana to 18m with stems to 80mm diameter, rusty tomentellous branchlets. Leaves to 180mm x 115mm, glabrous above and yellow-hairy beneath. Rusty tomentous panicles or lax cymes to 150mm, 5-lobed calyx strigose outside withs lobes to 0.75mm, 3.5mm staminate fragrant white or yellow flowers, pistillate flowers without petals. Red rusty pubescent drupe to 26mm long x 20mm x 10mm.
