Large liana to 30m or scrambling shrub climbing with curled woody hooked shoots to 50mm long, leaves to 190mm x 68mm. Axillary fascicles of small yellow flowers, bracteoles 2mm x 2mm, sepals to 2.5mm x 2.8mm, white to bright yellow petals to 8.5mm x 3mm, small yellow to red drupe to 6mm x 4.5mm
