Liana or scandent shrub, petiole-climbing, stems yellow- silky hairy becoming glabrescent, 3-foliolate palmate leaves to 120mm x 70mm, subcoriaceous leaflets, glabrous above, pubescent beneath, axillary or terminal villous panicles 150-250mm with pubescent bracts to 3mm long of red flowers to 7mm, calyx finely villous outside, 5 sepals 12mm x 4mm, villous petals 7mm x 3mm, 50mm x 25mm pubescent or puberulent 4-winged fruit, large wings to 75mm x 35mm wide
