Lianescent semi-woody unarmed rhizomatous herb or vine with glabrous leaves 200mm x 75mm with sheaths 150mm long, violet & white or white flowers with bracts 40mm long finely speckled pale pink, orange fruit, terminal clusters of scented flowers, flowers in pairs to 25mm long, glabrous sepals 12mm long, 3-lobed spiny capsule to 50mm diameter
