Shrub or large woody scrambling twining liana to 4m with younger part brown-puberulent. Glabrous leathery crenate-serrate leaves rusty beneath to 140mmx 70mm. 8mm across green-yellow or whitish scented flowers in rusty-pubescent axillary cymes or corymbs to 120mm long, flowers with 4-5 sepals, corolla to 6mm across, petals to 4mm long with rusty tomentum. Green to yellowish lobed flattened capsule to 80mm x 50mm
