Herbaceous perennial pilose twiner to 2m or prostrate herb with pubescent stems becoming glabrescent, axillary & terminal panicles with bracts, of 25mm pale yellow to white flowers with purple centre white-hairy without with bracteoles to 10mm long, flowers 25mm long yellow with purple centre, downy calyx 12mm long, 5 sepals exterior ones 9mm cross interior ones 3mm across, bicoloured corolla yellow with purple eye to 25mm x 18mm villous outside, 10mm diameter pilose seed capsule, downy stems hairy at top, sometimes 3-lobed glabrous or villous leaves or with scattered white hairs 125mm x 100mm, villous peduncles
