Sometimes scandent or procumbent perennial with angular fleshy stems with aerial roots. Branches bristly-hairy, bristly-hairy leaves to 60mm x 32mm. Solitary or few-flowered clusters of flowers pale mauve to deep purple to 40mm diameter with bracts to 8mm long, bristly calyx tube 8mm long with 5 bristly lobes. Bristly fruit to 12mm x 7.5mm with persistent calyx tube.
