Woody twining liana or scandent or shrub to 20m with 45mm winged fruit, a ferruginous-tomentose mericarp with wing to 60mm long, turning brown, dense axillary & terminal racemes or panicles & branches & petioles clothed with rusty down, 20mm diameter yellow or bluish? denticulate flowers, sepals to 5mm long, yellow petals to 7mm long, glabrous coriaceous leaves to 160mm long with some scattered hairs beneath. Samaras to 40mm long.
