Hemi-epiphytic high-climbing woody root-climber with long aerial roots. Leathery leaves to 200mm x 50mm. Terminal inflorescence, green to white flowers, greenish-white spathe to 80mm becoming orange, spadix greenish- yellow to white to 50mm x 13mm. Fruiting spadix to 120mm x 40mm, yellow to orange to 120mm long, fruit to 8mm diameter
Aerial roots used for tying, furniture, weaving & construction, & as whips in schools. Edible fruit
