Slender twining or trailing vine with trifoliate leaves, mucronate glabrous leaflets to 100mm x 50mm. Axillary racemes to 270mm long, 1-4 flowers to15mm, per cluster with bract to 2.5mm. Glabrous calyx to 4mm long, 2 upper sepals almost totally fused, deep purple to mauve corolla with yelliow marks towards base of each petal, standard 7mm x 8mm indented at tip, wings 9mm long, keel 7mm long. Flattened glabrous pod to 65mm x 10mm ripening black.
