Glabrous or pubescent high-climbing simple tendril herbaceous tendril liana to 6m long with 3-lobed leaves to 300mm x 300mm. Racemes up to 40-flowered to 280mm long, orange-yellow flowers, calyx tube to 6mm x 5mm & sepals to 15mm long, fiery red calyx yellow inside, fleshy petals to 9mm long, solitary or geminate pistillate flowers. Green fruit aging orange with lighter spots.
