Large vine with recurved prickles, leaves to 500mm long with 6 pairs of pinnae & 6-7 pairs of leaflets to 85mm long glabrous except on mid-vein beneath. Racemes to 300mm long with bracts to 5mm long, brown-pubescent calyx 10mm long, orange-yellow petals. Fruit to 90mm x 55mm densely covrred with stif spine-like prickles.
