Slender woody glabrous or glabescent high-climbing tendril liana, tree or arching shrub with pubescent young branches. Crenate-serrate leaves glabrous above, glabrous or pilose on nerves beneath to 100mm long.Terminal or axillary tomentose racemes, spikes or panicles to 200mm long with tendrils. 3mm greenish-white flowers slight odour, pubescent calyx 2mm long, 5 yellowish hooded petals 1mm long, glabrous or nearly so. 3-winged brownish schizocarp to 15mm, wings 9mm wide
Reputed poisonous.
Used as soap substitute & tooth cleaner
