Perennial twining herb with hairy young stems. Leaves to 156mm x 64mm, glabrous or sparsely puberulent above, puberulent beneath. 2-6 flowered racemes with bracts to 0.9mm x 0.4mm, purple flowers, calyx tube to 0.7mm long, green or purple tinted purple lobes to 10.3mm x 1.8mm, cream or pale purple corolla with white hairs, tube to 1.5mm long, 5 lobes to 9.5mm x 4.7mm, purple corona.
