Treelet, erect, decumbent or scandent shrub to 5m, with glabrous branchlets, coriaceous leaves to 100mm x 40mm. Axillary panicles to 125mm x 70mm with bracts and bracteoles to 1.5mm, 5-lobed glabrous calyx to 3.5mm with a white tube, white to pinkish glabrous corolla with 5 lobes to 7mm x 5mm, red to black-purple fruit to 10mm dai.
