Perennial climbing herb with retrorse prickles on stems, mucronate leaves to 30mm x 10mm, retrorse prickly on margins and midrib beneath. Axillary or terminal cymes of pale green or white flowers to 3mm diameter, 4-lobed corolla, hooked prickly hirsute fruit to 2mm diameter
