Herbaceous perennial vine prostrate or scandent with puberulent, pilose or glabrate stems. Mucronate coriaceous leaves in fours, usually scaberulous to 22mm x 8mm pilose on nerves & margins, glabrous above, hairy beneath. Axillary solitary flowers to 15mm long with 4 bracteoles to 4mm long subtending each flower, white or yellow flowers to 1.5mm wide, glabrous corolla to 2.5mm long with 4 lobes, 3.5mm orange-scarlet glabrous or 2-3 lobed hairy or glabrous fruits to 3mm x 3.5mm with fine bristles, hairy
